Perfect for hiking, biking, or jogging, our many trails are surrounded by the park-like natural beauty that defines The Highlands. Many of them wind their way through The Preserve, our very own 200-acre on-site nature preserve.

2. Recreational Lakes

Our community is home to Phillips Lake and Mirror Lake, which was recently named the Best Recreation Center of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association. Perfect for paddle boarding, fishing, kayaking, and more, our lakes are an ideal setting for low-impact activities, spending time with family, friends, and neighbors, or just watching the sunset.

3. Pickleball and Bocce Ball at The Hideaway and Discovery Cove

Right now, some of our most experienced residents can already enjoy private pickleball and bocce ball courts at The Hideaway in Fairway Pines, our exclusive neighborhood for active adults. We know how popular—and how good for you—pickleball is, though, so pickleball courts are also open for all residents at our new Discovery Cove amenity complex, allowing residents of all ages to enjoy both the social and fitness benefits of this popular sport!

4. On-site Golf Course at Highland Pines

Here at The Highlands, we’re fortunate to be surrounded by the beauty and grandeur of the Texas landscape. Nowhere is that more apparent than at our professionally managed 18-hole on-site golf course. Suitable for golfers of all skill levels, the Highland Pines Golf Course is located right here at The Highlands. You’ll find single-family and patio homes for sale alongside the fairway, meaning that you could get in a quick nine (or a leisurely 18) right in your back yard!

5. Discovery Cove is Coming Soon!

When it comes to staying active and fit, we’re always looking for new ways to make The Highlands the perfect place for a fun and healthy lifestyle. One of the newest ways is Discovery Cove, our brand-new amenity complex situated on our largest lake. Pickleball and tennis courts are already open, and the rest of Phase 1 is coming in the spring of 2025. It will feature a water park, resort-style pool, lazy river, and much more!
