OUTDOOR FUN
WHERE GETTING OUT GETS GOOD
Watching the dappled sunlight through futtering leaves on the bike and hike trails. Following the arch of your ball as it soars across the fairway on the 18-hole golf course. Hearing that satisfying thwack of the racket knowing you nailed the perfect topspin. Listening to live music at a community concert. There are truly so many good ways to enjoy the great outdoors at The Highlands.
BEYOND PAR

Residents at The Highlands have discounted access to Highland Pines, an 18-hole golf course designed by Tour 18. The semi-private course is sister to Augusta Pines and Gleannloch Pines. Whether you want to get in some exercise or enjoy time to explore, we have over 30 miles of maintained bike and hike trails that let you wander at your own pace through our densely-treed community. Run, walk, hike, bike, skip, or simply indulge yourself in the reenergizing peace of the verdant canopy and inviting landscape.

Singles or doubles, it’s love all on our courts. Grab a racket, pick up a few friends, and score a good time with a competitive game of tennis or more leisurely round of pickleball.

Grab a bottle of vino and meet with up with neighbors at the amenity center’s lakeside patio. A firepit offers a place to warm your tootsies on chilly nights and to roast s’mores with the kiddos.

An expansive green space comes to life when family and friends get together for picnics, playdates, special events and outdoor activities.

Nestled among 100-year-old cypress trees, the preserve features a 1-mile sandy beach on the San Jacinto, lakes for fishing, paddle boarding, and kayaking, and miles of trails. Covered picnic areas and grills are there for al fresco meals.
